Introducing the RPC-OU Over/Under Robotic Palletizer

Pearson’s Over/Under Palletizer provides automatic pallet loading and discharge in a compact footprint.

All of Pearson’s Standard Palletizers use FANUC robotics with over 80,000 hrs of Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), minimal maintenance requirements and the flexibility to easily adapt to new pallet patterns or case sizes, making the cells a reliable choice for high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing and distribution environments. An intuitive user interface (HMI) with integrated pallet configuration tool simplifies operation and minimizes training needs. All products in our portfolio of standard palletizing cells come pre-assembled on a common base for easy placement and fast start-up.

The RPC-OU can palletize up to 24 cases, trays or bliss boxes per minute depending on the desired pattern type, case orientation & case weight. With its dual pallet conveyor, empty pallets are supplied on the bottom level while full pallets are discharged on the upper level for continuous operations.

Let us help you optimize your palletizing processes and increase your productivity.

Available Upgrade

Air-Conditioner

Air conditioning provides cooling when ambient temperature becomes too hot or the contents of the electrical enclosure generate heat that risk failure to components.

Low or High Temperature Package

Electrical enclosures located in cold and humid environments maintain better performance and longevity with the addition of a heater and drier package. In high-temperature environments, the addition of an air conditioner may be necessary for optimal performance.

Plant Level Ethernet Connection

A Network Address Translation device allows specific Ethernet network configurations across multiple machines in the plant network and offers the ability for remote support through VPN connections.

Vacuum Pump

Vacuum pumps replace standard vacuum generators, which reduces air consumption and accommodates higher vacuum needs.

USER CENTRIC DESIGN
Machine Operator

Machine operators that perform their tasks independently free up your maintenance team and keep lines running smoother. Yet frequent turnover, language barriers, and skill gaps in these positions pose significant challenges to operations teams.

Pearson’s HMI Centric Design puts your operators and technicians at the center of our design decisions. With an uncluttered design, intuitive navigation, interactive guides, live sensor maps and advanced maintenance features, the HMI has morphed into a personal assistant. Mechanical improvements to the machines focus on easier visibility, accessibility and ergonomics for an optimal user experience for varying abilities and experience levels.

  • Minimize operator and technician training time
  • Increase changeover and fault-recovery speed
  • Promote improved machine maintenance and extend equipment life

Can I adjust pallet patterns on my own?

Yes, the pallet configuration tool built into the HMI allows you to quickly create, modify, copy or clear new pattern recipes or adjust parameters such as case or pallet height, number of layers, pick/drop speeds or delays during production.

What information do I need to provide for a quote?

If a quick, high-level budgetary quote is all you need, we are happy to provide you with the base machine rate. However, the more information you provide us about your particular application, the more accurately we can quote you. It also enables us to identify potential challenges and discuss how we can overcome them. If you are interested in a detailed quote, expect our sales managers to discuss the following questions with you.

  • Case dimensions (Drawings are preferred)
  • Elevation of the case conveyor
  • Estimated full case weight
  • Case per minute rate
  • Tape or glue closure
  • Number of cases per layer on the pallet (pictures are preferred)
  • Number of layers on the pallet (pictures are preferred)
  • Type of pallet(s) being used – 4-way Wood, CHEP, Plastic, None, etc
  • Base, tier, or top sheet used? If so, where and which SKU? Are all the same size
  • Stretch wrapping required?
  • Construction type (mild steel, stainless steel)
  • Environment of room where equipment will be placed – Hot, cold, wet, temp
  • Duty cycle (ie. 3 shifts per day 5 days per week)
  • Inspection or labeling requirements
  • Voltage requirement
  • Wish list for upgrade options
  • Special requirements
  • Are there specifications that need to be reviewed?
  • AutoCAD of area in scope (required for drawing from Pearson)

What can I expect after I request a quote?

If all you need is a high-level budgetary quote, we will provide you base-level machine pricing immediately. If you are looking for a more detailed quote, we will reach out to you within 24 business hours to discuss your application and collect all the necessary information. Once we collected the information, expect a detailed quote within 2-4 business days (unless your application requires non-standard options). For a firm quote, we generally like to review a sample of your case(s)/partitions/bags. This greatly reduces the risk of missing any potential obstacles and ensures that you receive not only the most accurate quote but also a high-performing machine. If your request requires a specifications response, please allow 7-10 working days for a quote turnaround.

Why do you need case samples for a firm quote? What if I don't have any?

Case samples allow us to help you avoid unforeseen challenges, determine the need for special options or recommend a different machine model better suited for your application. In nearly 65% of all projects, case sample reviews prevent costly mistakes, inferior performance and extended lead times. Here is a small sample of unwanted problems case reviews uncovered and averted:

  • Samples did not match drawings, which drove a change to the proposal
  • Unidentified shied flaps
  • Case hand was not identified on drawings or different
  • Product fit too tight or too loose into the case
  • The case’s manufacturer’s joint location or style interfered with the product being loaded
  • Corrugate quality issues interfering with proper machine performance
  • Bag thickness/construction/size did not match the requirements
  • Flap folding sequences/glue patterns requiring special attention
  • Head space in cases requiring special options or over pack interfering with proper sealing

Although we’d like to review case samples before we provide a firm quote, we understand that this is not always possible. In that case, we will provide a quote based on the information and drawings you provided.
